Network: CBC Television Network

Broadcast Run: 2005 to 2006

Broadcast Medium: Television

Aired Tuesday nights at 9PM from October 25, 2005 to February 28, 2006

This hour-long drama succeeded Da Vinci’s Inquest by following the career path of its lead character, Dominic Da Vinci. The show was based on the actual story of Larry Campbell, the Vancouver Coroner who steered a career path of his own from Mayor of Vancouver to Premier of British Columbia. In this drama, Da Vinci became Mayor of the city and had to contend with City Council, the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief while trying to enforce a new social policy for the poor and disadvantaged.

CBC cancelled the series after one season.

A made-for-TV movie that was something of a sequel to this series and Da Vinci’s Inquest (q.v.) was aired on the CBC on June 18th 2008.
