A program that would “examine, reflect, and project the Canadian image,” for ten years this half-hour documentary series covered a wide range of subjects, most of them pertaining to Canadians in Canada and around the world.
Executive producer of Telescope from l963 to l970 was Thom Benson.
Producers: Ross McLean (l963-64), Peter Kelly (l964-66), Fletcher Markle (l966-69).
NOTE: Markle had returned to the U.S., but the CBC enticed him to come back to Toronto as the head of television drama, and revive Telescope, with Markle himself as executive producer, Sam Levene the producer.
Aired weekly from June 1963 to 1973.
