This hour-long time-slot was given over to individual productions or
imported television specials, the only criterion being the use of the
word “super” in the title. For instance, Super Comedy with Wayne & Shuster; Super Concert with Roger Whittaker, and Super Music with the Rovers: Wasn’t that a party.
During the run, performers featured on individual specials included Rich Little,
Anne Murray, Carroll Baker, April Wine, Rush, Doug Henning and Toller
Cranston. In addition, this series provided the time slot for a three
part documentary on Canadian rock and pop music, Heart Of Gold.
