Internationally produced documentaries made up this television series, which debuted in 1993, hosted by Michaele Jean, who was later to become Canada’s Governor-General.
The program ran twice a week on Newsworld and once a week on the CBC Network. The host was Michaelle Jean. The series was dedicated to high-quality and opinionated documentaries.
Later, when the CBC introduced Doc Zone as its flagship weekly documentary series, The Passionate Eye continued on CBC Newsworld.
