A weekly drama about the life and times of the native people in the fictional town of Lynx River in the Northwest territories, (north of the 60th parallel). and shot principally in Bragg Creek, Alberta.   It led to five movies for television, In The Blue Ground (1999), Trial By Fire (2000), Dream Storm (2001), Another Country (2003) and Distant Drumming (2003).

Principal cast/recurring characters: John Oliver (`92 to `94); Tina Keeper, Tracey Cook, Tom Jackson, Dakota House, Robert Backstael,Peter Kelly Gandreault, Tina Louise Bomberry, Tantoo Cardinal and Gordon Tootoosis.

Aired from 1992 to 1997, and broke new ground in terms of viewing figures.
