Porpoise Bay Productions produced this half hour series of 12 episodes in association with CBC Children’s Television. The host was David Suzuki. The show was designed to teach children an appreciation of the environment and inspire them to conduct simple but effective projects to preserve it. As Suzuki writes,”as a parent I’m certain that children have a natural affinity with nature. They are thrilled and enchanted by plants and animals. And as a biologist I’m sure that this makes sense. This new series is designed to stimulate a child to carry out projects after viewing.”
The show was released on DVD in 2004.
