This half-hour music/talk program chronicled the history of Don Messer’s Jubilee, one of the most popular shows in the history of Canadian television. Singalong Jubilee was also featured in this nostalgic show. Bill Langstroth was the host. Most of the programs offered viewers original performances, peppered with interviews from some of the participants. The series allowed for the presentation of footage from the CBC archives that went back to the early 1950s. More than nostalgia, this show harkened back to the days when variety shows led the broadcast schedules in Canada and the United States.
