Eye Opener

Network: CBC Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1965

Broadcast Medium: Television

Aired Tuesday nights at 10:30 from January 5 to March 23, 1965.

This late time slot offered CBC viewers some more adventurous television viewing because of its experimental nature and subject matter. Eye Opener, like its predecessor Quest, presented dramas with a social conscience and featured some original Canadian writers in the process. This series of 12-half hour programs offered a mix of comedy, drama and three animated shorts from Europe. The last one featured Rich Little in an adaptation of Jules Feiffer’s cartoon. [See Quest]
