One of the early charade shows on Canadian television, It’s Your Move was hosted by Hamilton radio broadcaster Paul Hanover, with Nick Hollinrake as the often very funny announcer. The series was produced for the network at CFCF-TV in Montreal, and ran as a daytime strip on weekdays, 3:30 – 4:00pm, from September 1964 to September 1967, with a prime time version in the 1965-66 season, 8:30 – 9:00pm on Tuesdays.

Producer/Director Sidney Cohen got the show back into the CTV daytime schedule in the fall of 1974, hosted by George Balcan.  Original host Paul Hanover returned as host in the 1975- 1976 season, and the series finally left the CTV schedule in the summer of 1979.

It’s Your Move was created by U.S. producers Art Baer and Ben Joelson, who later went on to produce The Love Boat.
