Dan Gallagher was the first host of this half-hour contemporary music program dedicated to new Canadian talent in every region of the country. Karen Gordon assumed hosting duties in 1994. In addition to the usual format of a live performance, the show included interviews and biographical profiles of each group or solo artist.
The series featured performances by Jann Arden, The Barenaked Ladies; Bass is Base, Rawlins Cross, The Crash Test Dummies, Lisa Lougheed, Pressure Drop, Jale, The Mahones, Odds, The Barra MacNeils, Jim Witter, The Tea Party and the Holly Cole Trio.
