Don’t Stop Now

Network: CTV Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1986 to 1988

Broadcast Medium: Television

This half-hour children’s series was a magazine show, hosted by Steve Aiken and Suzanne McGillvray, and consisted of various segments, including appearances by the String Lady, who played string games, and an animal feature.  The hosts went on location to do interviews at places like the Shriners’ Circus and exotic restaurants, and children who sent in ideas which were used on the program received T-shirts.

The series was produced for CTV by Appletree Productions, headed by Rob Burton, who later went on to develop the YTV children’s specialty channel. (and even later became Mayor of Hamilton, Ontario). It  was produced in the studios of CFTO-TV Toronto, and ran on CTV in the Network’s Saturday morning block for parts of both the 1986-87 and 1987-88 seasons.
