Aired Sunday afternoons from May to September, 1976.
International Women’s Year was 1975. Kay Smith, executive producer of this program, collected programs produced in either Halifax, Ottawa or Vancouver and re-packaged them as a 17-part series about Canadian women in society.
A wide variety of subjects were scrutinized, from women in the work force to single women and mental health. For example, 57 women were profiled in a documentary about the Alcan smelter in Kitimat, British Columbia.
Judy Piercey was the host and narrator of the series.
