Richard Donovan produced this 1970s version of Fighting Words, with John Robert Colombo, a successful author and literary historian. The show featured a panel of high school students who were asked to guess the source of a particular quotation by a Canadian or about Canada. Colombo then led the panel in a discussion of the quotation. Each episode of the show was produced in a different Canadian city.
