A new phrase to describe ten to twelve year olds, Tween Set was specifically aimed at an audience of children too old for the Friendly Giant and not old enough for Let’s Go.
Produced in Montreal by Denyse Adam with host/reporter Adele Sternthal, the show covered some interesting subjects including a range of subjects from privacy and capital punishment to the Montreal Expos and the Olympic games. Each week two students were hired to balance the presentation with games and conversation.
By 1971, the program changed formats to a game/quiz show featuring students in Grade 7 or 8 hosting the show on Radio-Canada until 1973. It was produced in Montreal featuring tweens from Beaconsfield, Quebec.
