Aired Friday afternoons at 5 PM from October 1959 to June 1962.

The show told the stories of the Flying Kestrel, an old steamer that sailed the inland passages of British Columbia. Its pilot was Captain Martin, played by Reg McReynolds. The weekly episodes took the skipper across the region, and right up to Alaska, with his daughter Gail and a small crew. The show used as much exterior footage as possible including location shoots aboard a BC freighter.
