Network: CBC Television Network
Broadcast Run: 1969 to 1970
Broadcast Medium: Television
Aired Saturdays at various times, from April 1971 to April, 1974.
For three seasons, the CBC produced this sports talk show and tried to find an audience. Unfortunately, the broadcast times changed too often for viewers to watch it regularly.
Tom McKee and CFL veteran Russ Jackson were the hosts during the first year. Bob Moir replaced McKee for the remainder of the series’ run. The program featured conversations with professional athletes, such as hockey legend Jacques Plante, boxer George Chuvalo, golfer Doug Sanders and writer George Plimpton.
The producers were John Spalding [1971], Claude Baikie [1971-73], and Bob Smith [1973-74], who recorded programs in various locations across the country.
