Hangin’ In

Network: CBC Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1981 to 1987

Broadcast Medium: Television

Aired nightly, at various times, from January 1981 to February, 1987.

This half-hour situation comedy took place in a Youth Centre. It looked
at the struggles experienced by the councillors in the centre as they tried
to help teenagers with personal problems. The show took on such  issues
as homosexuality, birth control, suicide and depression with dramatic
results. It was well written, respectful of the issues, and featured a
strong cast, including Lally Cadeau, Fiona Reid, Ruth Springford, Eric
McCormack, Gina Wilkinson and David Eisner.
