Following the success of Swing Gently, a summer music/variety program, CBC invested more money and effort into producing this prime time program with a similar format of old tunes from Tin Pan Alley and Broadway. Regulars on the show included the Billy Van Four, Allan Blye, Ruth Walker. the Canadettes directed by choreographer Midge Arthur, and the Rudi Toth Orchestra. Special guests included regulars from the Ed Sullivan show: Senor Wences, Orson Bean as well as singer Doug Romaine, comic Pam Hyatt, and dancer Joey Hollingsworth.
