Network: CBC Television Network
Broadcast Run: 1977 to 1978
Broadcast Medium: Television
Aired weekday mornings from September 1977 to May 1978. Repeated during the summer of 1978.
This 15-minute program was aimed at preschool children and was more of an entertainment show than an educational program. The program was bilingual, in French and English, but not was specifically about learning a language.
The host was Manon Bernard, who played Colette Jarry on the Radio-Canada tv series called Rue de Pignons. Bernard talked to a live audience of kids from Montreal in a program that was essentially unscripted. Music and play were the ingredients in the content and the show’s mascot, Mr. Funny Bone, made regular visits.
