Aired Monday afternoons from February 26 to May 28, 1979. Repeated Wednesday afternoons during the summer of 1981.
Jonathan Miller was a founding member of the British comedy group called Beyond the Fringe. He was also a qualified physician, and this series was a look at how the body works. The show was an hour in length and featured 13 episodes on a wide range of topics from the circulatory system to the nervous system of the human body. Miller’s wit was a great asset to the appeal of the show.
The series was produced by the BBC in association with the CBC, TVO, Australia’s ABC and KCET, Los Angeles.
