Aired weekly, during the day at various times from 1989 to 1992.
This half hour animated children’s series featured the story of Babar the Elephant, from the popular book. It was produced by produced by Nelvana Ltd. in association with the CBC. The series was created after two of successful specials that aired in 1986. Over 30 episodes were in the series and the popularity of the show ensured its being repeated for several years after the first season. The series was later funded by Global for additional original episodes.
