At Home With John Newmark

Network: CBC Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1954

Broadcast Medium: Television

Aired Sunday nights at 10:30 PM from September 5 to October 17,1954

Like many of the early music programs on CBC Television, artists made popular on CBC radio often got shows of their own. This short series of programs originated in the Montreal television studios, where set designers reproduced the living room of its host, John Newmark.
The pianist played chamber music in an apartment set dressed with Canadian art. Newmark was the featured musician with guests, such as Walter and Otto Joachim, Lucien Robert and D’Arcy Shea.
Producer: Pierre Mercure
