This half hour documentary program profiled ordinary Canadians. At least that was how the concept was defined by executive producer Ross McLean. Rather than feature stories about notable Canadians, McLean went the other way and explored the lives of working people across the country.
Some of the subjects of the stories included Anne Barrett, a mother of three children and the local dogcatcher of Uxbridge, Ontario: Leonard Evans, the father of 14 children who lived in Newfoundland: Vinnie Green an 80-year-old stamp and coin collector: poet Al Purdy, and a couple who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
McLean collected material from a number of notable young producers: Martyn Burke, Martin Lavut, Jo Davis, Barbara Greene, Lyman Gifford, Don Newlands, William Fruet, and Don Shebib.
