Aired Saturday nights, after hockey, from December 1966 to May 1968.
This program, one of many to fill a difficult time slot, aired after the hockey game and before the national news. It was an entertainment show featuring music and dance, with the Jimmy Dale big band and weekly guest hosts.
Its first season included Dave Broadfoot, Jon Hendricks, Aubrey Tadman, Flip Wilson, the Staccotoes, Cy Leonard and Billy Meek. Hosts included Gordon Pinsent, Tommy Common, Don Francks, Wally Koster, and Alex Barris, who later had a short-lived program called Barris & Company in the same time slot in 1969.
In Person’s second season, in 1967, opened up the format to include monologue performances and remote broadcasts in the field. The regular host was Alan Hamel and the musical guests included Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia, Tommy Ambrose and Rich Little.
