US country music singer Carl Smith came to Canada to host this weekly half-hour of both domestic and US country music performers doing their thang, with resident performers The Maple Creek Boys, Diana Leigh, Chuck Stewart, Cy Anders and Jean Carignan.
Syd Banks produced the series at CFTO-TV in Toronto; Country Music Hall, which was directed first by Paul Kimberley, and then for the balance of the series by John Johnson, entered the CTV schedule on Mondays at 9:00pm in September 1964, and stayed there happily for four years before being replaced in the fall of 1968 by the even more popular Pig and Whistle.
