Aired Sunday evenings during the summer of 1960.

Thirteen films about great scientists made for some interesting viewing during the early summer of 1960. Produced for the CBC by Niagara Productions of Montreal, each episode looked at the life of a famous inventor/scientist, with actors playing the respective roles.

William Needles played Michael Faraday, famous for his study of Induction. Norman Ettlinger played Helmoholtz, who found many new uses for electricity; Lloyd Bochner played the part of Antoine Lavoisier, chemist; Michael Kane played Charles Darwin. Other programs featured John Dalton and the atomic theory, Mathematician Christian Gauss, Lord Kelvin, physicist, Sigmund Freud, James Watt and his steam engine; Johannes Kepler, and Count Rumford.
