This half hour series of 8 shows was produced in Winnipeg by Larry Brown. It was a profile of the modern zoo: its history and development.
The series was hosted by Clive Roots, former director of the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Manitoba. He addressed issues such as animal conservation, the simulation of natural habitats in captivity, feeding practices, and the problems of zookeeping.
