This half hour musical variety series was hosted by one of the most popular American DJs of the 1960s, Wolfman Jack. [aka Bob Smith].
Jack’s popularity soared with his voiceover appearances in American Graffiti, directed by George Lucas. He also hosted a television show called The Midnight Special on NBC. This show was co-produced in Vancouver by Jack’s production company and the CBC. Canadian rock bands were booked on the show as well as foreign performers. The show also featured the comedy of Danny Wells, Peter Cullen and Sally Sales, as well as the Famous People Players.
The executive producer was Don Kelley, the producer Riff Markowitz, and the director Mark Warren.
