Twelve For Summer

Network: CBC Television Network

Broadcast Run: 1966 to 1967

Broadcast Medium: Television

Aired Saturday evenings at 7PM during the summer of 1966. Aired the following summer, 1967, on Sunday evenings at the same time.

These half hour music programs were limited to twelve weeks as a summer series. As was the case with most of the programs produced in the 1960s by the CBC, regional representation was a must. Consequently, shows aired from the major musical centres in the country, such as Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Depending on the host, each show featured a particular genre of music.
