A quiz show that tested the contestants’ knowledge of particular subjects, Tous pour un was first hosted by Raymond Charrette, then Jacques Fauteux from 1964 to 1968, followed by Gilles Gougeon and Jean Besré from 1992 to 1995. From 2007Francis Reddy took up the reins as host.
Tous pour un was an intelligent, demanding, but very accessible game show, that called upon the comprehensive knowledge of certain aficionados for a given subject, such as a city (New York City), a character (Tintin), a scientific domain (inventions, weather), a year (1968), a TV series, an artist, etc. Participants needed to spend many hours exhaustively studying their special topic to fully master all they might expect to need to know in order to win..
