Network: CBC Television Network
Broadcast Run: 1962 to 1966
Broadcast Medium: Television
Aired Sunday mornings, at various times, from October 1962 to June 1966.
Long before Sunday morning television became the mainstay of network news magazines, traditional religious shows like this were the norm. Bishop Sheen ran for years on American television, for instance. This program was notable for Davey and Goliath, the animated children’s show produced by the Lutheran Church. The CBC component was Crabapple Island, featuring Mayor Basil Bullfrog and Myopia Mole.
Produced in Montreal by Robert Haylock, the hosts during the series included Helene Nickerson, Ann Graham and Gloria Chetwynd.
