This first ever Canada-Mexico co-production starred Canadian performers Rob Stewart as Nick Slaughter, a former Mountie and DEA agent who was now a low-rent detective, and Carolyn Dunn, his business partner named Sylvie Girard. Set in fictional Key Mariah, the action/comedy series also starred John David Bland as Slaughter’s sidekick Ian Stewart, a former rock star and local beach bar operator, who contributed to the chaos each week. Local police chief Lt. Carrillo (played by Pedro Armendariz) tries to keep them all in line. The series was filmed on location in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
