Salt & Light In 2001, the CRTC approved an application for a new cable specialty channel to be called the Inner Peace Television Network, and the channel was launched in July 2002. In November 2003 the CRTC approved the acquisition of Inner Peace’s assets by St. Joseph Corporation, on behalf of a not-for-profit corporation to be known as Salt and Light Media Foundation, with support from the Catholic Church. The channel is licensed to provide 60% of its program content in English, and the remainder in French and third language programming. Salt + Light Television launched in July of 2003. The channel launched in HD on June 1, 2017.
