The Ray Bradbury Theatre brought to life spell-binding thrillers created by one of the world’s most popular writers, Ray Bradbury. The author adapted his own stories for television and hosted the award-winning series. Some of the best acting talents of the day guest starred on the series, including Canadians Kenneth Welsh, Helen Shaver, R.H. Thompson, Saul Rubinek, Eugene Levy, Megan Follows, Alan Scarfe and William Shatner. Other notable international actors included Elliott Gould, Peter O’Toole and James Whitmore.

Some episodes were filmed in Canada while others were filmed in England, New Zealand and France. The first six episodes were packaged as The Ray Bradbury Trilogy 1 in 1985 and The Ray Bradbury Trilogy 2 in 1986. The show was first seen on HBO in the U.S. and First Choice in Canada. The next five seasons were seen on the USA Network and rebroadcast on Global in Canada.
