On October 2, the CRTC approved an application by Carcross Radio Society to operate a low-power, English- and Native-language FM station on the frequency 97.5 MHz with an effective radiated power of 5 watts. The station would initially broadcast 5 hours per day of local programming, in the English and Tlingit languages, consisting of music, community announcements, local interviews and events.
