2003

On May 7, Sound of Faith Broadcasting was granted a licence for a low-power Christian music FM radio station in Woodstock. The new station would broadcast with an effective radiated power of 50 watts on 94.3 MHz. The station planned to broadcast predominantly local station-produced programming, including a live morning show, as well as local news, weather and sports broadcast hourly throughout the day.

2005

Early in the year, Sound Of Faith Woodstock renamed the station to “Hope FM” to show distinctions from its nearfby sister stations (CJTW-FM Kitchener and CHJX-FM London). The corporate name remained Sound of Faith Broadcasting.

Studios and offices moved from 419 Dundas Street to the T. A. Truck Stop on Mill Street at the 401.

CJFH applied to change frequency to 104.7 MHz and increase power to 3,100 watts average ERP (5,350 watts maximum ERP), and to increase antenna height to 104 meters. The application was denied August 25. The frequency went to another applicant.

Despite the frequency change set-back, CJFH hoped to move its transmitter and antenna from 419 Dundas Street to a tower owned by Oxford Communications located on Bower Hill Road, southwest of town.

2006

On April 10, CJFH’s application to increase power to 250 watts, increase antenna height and move the transmitter was denied.

2007

CJFH received approval on March 13 to decrease effective radiated power from 50 to 37 watts, increase antenna height and relocate the transmitter.

2010

On June 29, the CRTC renewed the broadcasting licence for the English-language specialty radio station CJFH-FM Woodstock from 1 July 2010 to 31 August 2013. This short-term licence renewal would enable the Commission to review, at an earlier date, the licensee’s compliance with the Radio Regulations, 1986 and its conditions of licence. In Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2009-786, the Commission stated that the licensee may have failed to comply with section 9(2) of the Radio Regulations, 1986, which relates to the provision of annual returns, for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 broadcast years. The Commission also stated that the licensee may have failed to comply with its condition of licence relating to contributions to Canadian talent development, for the 2005 and 2006 broadcast years.

2018

On December 16, the CRTC renewed CJFH’s licence to August 31, 2017. This short-term licence renewal would allow for an earlier review of the licensee’s compliance with its conditions of licence and with the Radio Regulations, 1986. There were concerns over CTD contributions and the filing of annual returns.
