On March 27, the CRTC approved an application by David Edmunds (OBCI) for a broadcasting licence for an English- and native-language FM radio station at Postville on the frequency 89.9 MHz, channel 210, with a transmitter power of 1 watt to broadcast locally-produced programs and to rebroadcast programming originating with the Okalakatiget Society Network. The licence would expire August 31, 1990.
CJPL signed on the air.
