2014

On July 29, the CRTC approved an application by Clear Sky Radio Inc. to operate a commercial FM radio station to serve Cranbrook with transmitters in Fernie, Sparwood and Invermere. The Cranbrook transmitter would broadcast on 107.5 MHz (channel 298C1) with an average effective radiated power of 1,100 watts (maximum ERP of 2,500 watts with an effective height of antenna above average terrain of 1,047.5 metres). The transmitter in Fernie would operate at 107.9 MHz (channel 300A) with an average ERP of 154 watts (maximum ERP of 500 watts with an EHAAT of -572 metres). The Sparwood transmitter would operate at 107.1 MHz (channel 296A) with an average ERP of 79 watts (maximum ERP of 500 watts with an EHAAT of -242 metres). The transmitter in Invermere would operate at 107.7 MHz (channel 299A1) with an average ERP of 22 watts (maximum ERP of 100 watts with an EHAAT of -318 metres).

The new station would offer an Adult Contemporary format with a target audience of 18-54 year olds. It would offer 126 hours of local programming per broadcast week. Spoken word programming would take up 16 hours and 41 minutes of that time.  News programming per broadcast week: 5 hours and 33 minutes of pure news content, which would include 4 hours and 26 minutes of local and regional news, 50 minutes of national news, as well as 17 minutes of international news. The licence would expire August 31, 2021.

2015

In late summer CFSM-FM Summit 107 began on-air testing.

Summit 107 launched at 1:07 p.m. on September 11, to serve the East Kootenay, Elk Valley and Columbia Valley regions of B.C. The format was Adult Contemporary and the station operated four transmitters (107.5 Cranbrook/Kimberley, 107.7 Invermere, 107.9 Fernie and 107.1 Sparwood and Elkford).

2019

In the summer, CFSM rebranded from AC-Oldies as Summit 107 to more of a CHR-Classic Hits approach as 2day FM.
