Aired Friday evenings at 8 PM during the summer of 1964; repeated in 1966 on Sunday evenings.
This weekly 30-minute program was dedicated to natural history and issues regarding the environment. It looked at the life-cycle of the planet, with a production team that took cameras into every region of the country. Some shows would look at such locales as the Pacific Salmon habitat, while others explored wildlife such as bears and wolves.
The series also featured stories on uninhabited islands in Canada and the marine life of the Arctic Ocean.
All of the episodes featured original productions from nature sounds recorded by William Gunn, biologist and consultant to the show, to original music. The latter written by Ricky Hyslop featuring some familiar Canadian soloists: Moe Koffman, Eric Traugott, Alf Harris and Nicolas Fiore.
