A police drama created by Luc Dionne counting some 27 episodes, Omertà was broadcast from 1996 to 1999. The series was built around organized crime cases in the Province of Quebec.
Michel Côté, Luc Picard, Michel Dumont, Claude Michaud and Sylvie Legault played the National Security Agency Untouchables duking it out with the Montreal mafia. The series won Gémeaux Awards as the best dramatic series in 1996, 1998 and 1999.
