A TV soap opera written by Guy Fournier, Les héritiers Duval was broadcast from 1994 to 1996 (49 episodes) and was a sequel to Jamais deux sans toi that had aired from 1977 to 1980 and then again from 1990 to 1992.
Les héritiers Duval told the story of a conventional Quebec couple: Christian, the brilliant President of an insurance company left to him by his deceased father, and Isabelle, an exceptionally simple woman with a big heart of gold. The couple had to learn how to cope with a slightly delinquent adolescent, a wise and mature young woman, as well as a 10-year-old boy who always wanted to know everything and understand all that was going on.
