L’Auberge du chien noir was a soap opera that was created by Sylvie Lussier and Pierre Poirier and was broadcast as of January 2003.
A horticulturist enamoured with his profession and an avid nature lover, Marc (Vincent Gratton) ended up in charge of managing a hostel right in the middle of the city. And his life was everything except mundane and predictable. Not at all surprising given that he was surrounded by a staff, which was to say the least “out of the ordinary”… an exasperating accountant, a mute chambermaid who knew how to make herself understood, a son who could do the most unexpected things, a prying and especially gifted half brother, a dog who was an ardent monarchist and a shrew dressed up as a mother who was always showing up unannounced.
The other leading actors were Aubert Pallascio (Georges), Denis Gagnon (Germaine), Roger Léger (Philippe), Lorilène and Marilou Lapierre (Mariane) and Julie Daoust (Ariane).
