A musical variety show devoted to big band music and swing. Jack Duffy, the comic actor who had once been a featured singer for the Tommy Dorsey organization, was the show’s host, and Guido Basso led a band made up of Toronto studio musicians. In the first show, Duffy introduced special guests Tex Beneke and the Modernaires, and the program was devoted to music in the style of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, with interviews and film about the music and the times. Directed by Athan Katsos, and produced and written by Gary Ferrier and Aubrey Tadman.
Aired – Thursday evenings from September 1971 to June 1972.
