This was a talk show featuring prominent Canadians in the arts or economics. The show featured either Ramsay Cook or John David Hamilton in conversation with such esteemed company as Margaret Atwood, Robertson Davies, Northrop Frye, Sylvia Ostry, filmmaker Allan King, Roy Atkinson from the National Farmers Union and Guy Rocher, Canada Council chairman.
Quebec’s cultural leaders were also featured, including Georges-Henri Levesque who founded Laval University, musician Jean Carignan, filmmaker Claude Jutra and the former Social Affairs Minister of Quebec, Claude Castonguay.
The producer of Impressions was Judith Walle under the auspices of Ain Soodor, executive producer.
