Gordon Pinsent hosted this series of six hour-long documentaries on Canadian culture. The series was produced by George Robertson. It was a serious attempt to answer some important questions regarding Canada’s cultural identity.

1] Politics and Culture, featured a conversation with Hugh Faulkner, Secretary of State and Peter C. Newman, Editor of Maclean’s magazine.
2] Home Movies examined the state of Canadian film making.
3] The Music Industry with Bruce Cockburn, Anne Murray and Murray McLauchlan.
4] The Publishing Industry with Margaret Atwood, Irving Layton and Michael Ondaatje, who discussed their relationship, as writers, with Canadian publishing companies.
5] Theatre with Michel Tremblay, Carol Bolt, David French, Bill Glassco, Paul Thompson and Martin Kinch.
6] The Television Industry featured an interview with George Gerbner, Dean of the Annenberg School of Communications in the United States.
