Host Mike Roberts and master storyteller Bill Barlee took a historical journey into Canada’s colourful past in Gold Trails and Ghost Towns. Filmed in their studio set which depicted a trapper’s cabin, Mike and Bill delved into the opening of the West by seekers of gold and other precious metals at the turn of the century. Bill brought a wealth of information as well as a collection of early pictures and artifacts to the show to help take the viewer back in time. This Can-Pro award winning series followed the growth of towns such as Barkerville, Phoenix and Dawson City and the people that made them famous.

The series was produced at CHBC-TV Kelowna B.C. and syndicated in Canada.
