Four Rooms was a new series that joined the CBC Television Network schedule on January 5th 2014 at 8 pm. The premise of the show was simple: members of the public came from across Canada with prized possessions that they thought could be worth a fortune.
Waiting in the Four Rooms were four of Canada’s top buyers, each of them ready to spend big money on whatever came through their doors.
But there was a catch. Sellers could only visit one buyer at a time and if they turned down an offer, it’s off the table for good, and there was no going back.
The panel of buyers for the first series consisted of Derreck Martin, Jessica Lindsay Phillips, Scott Landon and Eddy Rogo, and the host was Reshmi Nair
Born in Toronto, Reshmi Nair was a first generation Canadian; her parents emigrated from Kerala, India in the 1960s. Reshmi spent a significant part of her life on the west coast of Canada, first studying broadcast at Columbia Academy in Vancouver, and later working as a news reporter at Mountain FM in Squamish, B.C. After working at News1130 in Vancouver, Nair moved to television, working first at CTV British Columbia and later at CTV Toronto.
