Fortier was a TV police drama that was aired over forty-two 45-minute episodes. It was written by Fabienne Larouche, directed by Érik Canuel and François Gingras, and was broadcast from 2000 to 2004 on the TVA network.
Anne Fortier was a ham-fisted psychologist, with a dark and secret past, who worked for the police force in an elite unit that investigated bizarre and unusual crimes.
The lead role of Anne Fortier was played by Sophie Lorain. Alongside her there was Gilbert Sicotte (Gabriel Johnson), Pierre Lebeau (Jean-Marie Dufour), Jean-François Pichette (Claude Mayrand) and François Chénier (Étienne Parent).
The program won several Gémeaux awards between 2000 and 2003, including that of Best Achievement in Writing in a Dramatic Series and that of Best Actress in a Dramatic Series.
