An animated series brought to life classic songs and rhymes loved by children for generations. Favorite Songs was a series of half-hour specials for the whole family, providing both enjoyable music and fun characters, while adults could appreciate the humour and artistic beauty of the animation. Each episode took a familiar rhyme or song and presented a whimsical interpretation in an original story. Examples of stories included “The Runaway Teapot”, based on the “I’m a little teapot, short and stout” children’s song; “The Ice Queen’s Mittens”, based on “The Three Little Kittens”; and “Spider Junior High, based on “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”. Guest voices included Canadian rock musician, Bryan Adams.
