A comedy/children’s program that aired several times a week in the after-school time slots. The program debuted September 15, 1975 at 4:30 pm and finished its run in 1978.
Although the weekly adventures of a documentary filmmaker working out of a basement office seem mundane, the cast of characters and their behavior was not. It featured the television debuts of Second City alumni, including Rosemary Radcliffe as Rosie Tucker, Barrie Baldaro as Dudley Nightshade, Fiona Reid as Mona Swicker, Catherine O’Hara as Myrna Wallbacker, Don Hennessey as Ralph Oberding, John Stocker as Dwayne Kramer, Dan Aykroyd as Purvis Bickle and John Candy as Wally Wypyzypychwk.
Barbara Evans, David Mayerovitch and Stuart Northey wrote the shows. During the last season, writer Hedley Read replaced Evans.
